04.11.24. Leading content and purpose-driven strategic content creator, Content With Purpose (CWP), has announced today its certification as a B Corp, joining a global community of companies rethinking business by combining purpose with profit. CWP has been certified by B Lab, the organisation behind the B Corp movement, meeting rigorous standards of social and environmental performance as a testament to its commitment to goals that extend beyond shareholder profits.
The B Corp certification examines the entire spectrum of a company’s activities and evaluates five key impact areas: Governance, Workers, Community, Environment, and Customers. Achieving this certification requires a minimum score of 80 and clear evidence of socially responsible practices, including the responsible management of energy, waste, and water, equitable worker policies, diversity, and corporate transparency. CWP has also updated its company articles to legally enshrine its dedication to a purpose beyond profit.
CWP now joins a network of 8,000 B Corps globally, including over 2,000 in the UK, covering various industries and well-known brands like The Guardian, innocent, and Patagonia. CWP’s B Corp certification is particularly significant in the media and content industry, showcasing a shift toward increased accountability and transparency.
Max Smith, Founder and Managing Director of CWP, commented,
“Achieving B Corp certification is a testament to our commitment to driving meaningful change. We believe that content can be a powerful tool for raising awareness and inspiring action, and this certification strengthens our resolve to uphold the highest standards in every aspect of our business.”
Chris Turner, Executive Director of B Lab UK, stated, “We are thrilled to welcome Content With Purpose to the B Corp community. This movement is transforming the business landscape, showing that companies can indeed be a force for good. B Lab UK strives to transform the economy to benefit all people, communities, and the planet.
